In this article, we will mention the number of years required to complete a bachelor’s degree in Turkey for students from different countries around the world.

Duration of Bachelor’s Degree Programs in Different Countries

The number of years required to complete each university stage varies from one country to another.

Additionally, the number of years for a single academic degree varies according to the educational system in each country. For example, in countries like Spain, Norway, Ireland, and Germany, students can obtain a bachelor’s degree in three years.

On the other hand, bachelor’s degree programs in the United Kingdom can range from 4 to 5 years for some engineering and scientific programs.

On the other hand, the education system and the number of years of study in Arab countries are largely similar. It is common for bachelor’s degree programs to last for four years for most disciplines, five years for engineering specializations, and 5 to 7 years for medical specializations.

Number of Years for a Bachelor’s Degree in Turkey

High school students can start enrolling in Turkish universities with their high school diplomas (baccalaureate) or at the end of the final semester in high school. Registration is done by selecting the university and the desired major, submitting the required documents to the university of choice, and filling out the university’s application form.

The years required to complete a bachelor’s degree in Turkey vary depending on the major:

The study duration for liberal arts, engineering, technical, and administrative majors is four years.

  • The duration of dental school is five years.
  • The duration of medical school is six years.

Many high school students, after consulting with their parents and experts, choose to study in Turkey because it is a European country with a culture close to the Arab culture. In addition to the quality of its universities, the tuition fees and cost of living in Turkey are affordable for everyone. Therefore, we witness a significant interest from these students in applying to the university of their choice in Turkey.
