CHSSU is a member of the Erasmus Program, offering students opportunities to study at various European universities. This allows for a diverse and international academic experience.
CHSSU offers programs in both English and Turkish. For English-taught programs, applicants must demonstrate proficiency through standardized tests. Accepted scores include:
TOEFL iBT: 66
PTE: 50
Applicants lacking the necessary language proficiency may be required to attend a preparatory program.
International applicants must have completed secondary education equivalent to Turkish high school and provide a recognized diploma. The university accepts various national and international exam results, such as SAT, ACT, or country-specific university entrance exams. Applications are submitted through the university’s online portal, and an acceptance letter is issued upon successful evaluation.
Many students are drawn to CHSSU because of the heavily discounted fees (e.g., Nursing at $1,700/year). However, this discounted price is not a short-term offer — it typically applies throughout your entire program, as long as you maintain your student status. Failing courses does not usually cancel your scholarship, but it’s essential to get this confirmed in your acceptance letter and avoid assumptions based on agents alone.
On-campus dorms are convenient, but many international students find them basic and crowded, especially in first-year shared rooms. If you prefer more privacy, nearby apartment complexes like Özdaş Aparts offer better facilities (e.g., 2+1 and 4+1 flats), often shared with other international students. However, you’ll need to budget for higher rent, utilities, and a deposit. Many students start in dorms and switch to private housing after getting familiar with the area.
