Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private foundation university founded in 1998 in the heart of Istanbul, on the shores of the Bosphorus in the Beşiktaş district. It is the anchor of BAU Global, an international network of campuses and partner institutions spanning Berlin, Washington D.C., Toronto, Batumi, Rome and beyond — giving students genuine study-abroad and exchange opportunities as part of a single university.
