• Pre-Expiry Applications: Applications must be made before the expiration date of your current permit.
• Late Applications: If your permit has already expired, you must apply within 10 days after the expiry date, providing a petition explaining the reason for the late application.
• Penalties for Non-Compliance: If you fail to apply within 10 days after expiry, you may face penalties and be required to leave Türkiye.

Required Documents for Renewal

When renewing your student residence permit, you’ll need to prepare the following documents:

1. Completed Online Renewal Application Form: This form is mandatory for the renewal process.
2. Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 60 days beyond the requested permit duration.
3. Biometric Passport Photos: Recent biometric passport photos are a requirement.
4. Proof of Health Insurance: Valid for the requested duration.
5. Proof of Income or Financial Resources: Documentation proving your financial capability to support yourself during your stay.
6. Proof of Accommodation: A rental contract or deed demonstrating your accommodation arrangements.
7. Student Registration Certificate: This is proof of your enrollment in an educational institution.

Passport Validity

Residence permit applications or renewals must be made while you are physically present in Türkiye. Applications submitted from abroad are considered invalid.

Late Applications

If you miss the renewal window, a letter of excuse must be submitted to the İl Göç İdaresi Müdürlüğü (Provincial Directorate of Migration Management) in Turkish, explaining your reason for the late application.
