On average, students should expect to spend between $1,000 and $1,500 per month to cover housing, food, transportation, and personal expenses. Renting a shared apartment typically costs between $400 and $700, while monthly groceries and meals add another $250 to $350. Utilities and internet usually range from $80 to $120, and public transportation with a student card is about $20 to $30 per month. Students who choose more central or modern housing, or who prefer a more comfortable lifestyle, may see their total costs rise closer to $1,500 or more.
No. While theoretical courses may be taught in English, clinical training takes place in Acıbadem Health Group hospitals where patient interaction is in Turkish. International students are expected to reach at least intermediate-level Turkish by the time rotations begin, or risk limited clinical involvement.
Yes. Acıbadem University’s students have direct access to the Acıbadem Health Group’s hospitals and labs, which are considered among the best in Turkey. However, placement depends on academic standing, Turkish proficiency, and departmental scheduling — it is not automatically guaranteed.
Not formally. While the academic content aligns well with global medical standards, Acıbadem does not run in-house USMLE or PLAB prep programs. Students aiming for these exams typically prepare independently or through external platforms.
No. Acıbadem requires official proof of English proficiency, either through TOEFL (minimum iBT 79), IELTS (min 6.5), or the university’s internal exam. A diploma from an English-medium school alone is not sufficient to bypass the prep requirement.
Extremely selective. Transfers into Medicine or Dentistry are rare and only considered for students with high GPAs, a strong course match, and proof of academic rigor from their current institution. Open seats are limited and not available every year.
