On average, students should expect to spend between $1,000 and $1,500 per month to cover housing, food, transportation, and personal expenses. Renting a shared apartment typically costs between $400 and $700, while monthly groceries and meals add another $250 to $350. Utilities and internet usually range from $80 to $120, and public transportation with a student card is about $20 to $30 per month. Students who choose more central or modern housing, or who prefer a more comfortable lifestyle, may see their total costs rise closer to $1,500 or more.
Atılım University does not require or accept TR-YÖS or any other university-specific YÖS exams for international student admissions. Instead, applicants are evaluated based on their high school GPA and other academic credentials. This policy simplifies the application process, eliminating the need for additional standardized tests.
For programs taught in English, Atılım University requires proof of English proficiency. Accepted exams and minimum scores include:
TOEFL iBT: Minimum 75 (with at least 20 in writing)
IELTS: Minimum 6.0 overall (with at least 5.5 in each section)
PTE Academic: Minimum 60
CAE: Grade C or higher
CPE: Grade C or higher
Applicants without these scores must take the APEX (Atılım Proficiency Exam). A minimum score of 60 out of 100 is required for most departments, while the Department of English Language and Literature and the Department of Translation and Interpretation require a minimum of 65.
