Founded in 1955, Ege University is one of Turkey’s most prestigious public universities, located in the Bornova district of Izmir. The university fosters a creative and participatory educational environment and is committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, research, and public service. With over 3,200 faculty members, Ege University enrolled approximately 57,000 students in the 2014–2015 academic year.
