For English-taught programs, students must demonstrate proficiency in English. Students who meet the following minimum scores are exempt from the preparatory English course:

  • CAE Level B: Minimum score of 70
  • CPE: Minimum grade C
  • TOEFL: Minimum score of 75
  • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5

Students who do not meet the minimum requirement must enroll in an English Proficiency Preparation Program. Those with at least a B1 English level can apply. Before classes begin, a placement test determines their level.

Not entirely. Theoretical courses are separated by language, but some lab sessions or hospital rotations may include mixed groups. This means Turkish may occasionally be used in practice-based environments, especially during patient interactions.

Only basic guidance is given. You’ll receive documents and general instructions, but the process itself—especially for residence permits, e-devlet, or insurance activation—must be completed independently. Delays or errors are common without peer support.

In programs like Medicine, Dentistry, and Physiotherapy, failing a key course can delay graduation by a full year. Courses are tightly sequenced, and many clinical or core subjects are offered only once annually with no summer make-up option.
