No. The medium of instruction is English for the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Students enrolling in these departments must take the English Proficiency Exam prepared by OSTiM Technical University. Those who fail the exam will study at the Preparatory School for one academic year.
The English Preparatory Program is a 1-year modular system consisting of 4 modules, each lasting 2 months. Students are placed into a class appropriate for their level based on a placement test. After completing each module, students take an exam to progress to the next level. The program focuses on speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills, aiming to equip students with academic English for their departments.
Yes. Students enrolled in English programs are required to have an English language certificate obtained from internationally recognized exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or ÜDS. If students do not have a language score from one of these exams, they must take the English language proficiency exam conducted by the university.
Yes. OSTiM Technical University emphasizes practical training and has partnerships with various industrial companies, especially due to its location within the Ostim Industrial Zone. This provides students with opportunities for internships and real-world experience during their studies.
Yes. The university has registered for the Erasmus program and is one of the official partners for a 5-year period. As of the current year, 30 students can benefit from the international exchange program, and 20 students can participate in the Erasmus internship program, allowing them to study or intern in various European countries.
