Türkiye uses the European ECTS credit system, so your degree transfers across Europe. Here's how it works.

What is ECTS?

The European Credit Transfer System measures study workload. A full academic year is 60 ECTS; a bachelor's is typically 240 ECTS over four years.

Why it matters

ECTS makes your Turkish degree recognized and transferable across the European Higher Education Area, useful for exchange, transfers and postgraduate study abroad.

Transfers & exemptions

Already completed some study? You may earn credit exemptions. SIT advisors help you map prior credits when you apply.
