Who is eligible for student residency?
Article – 38 (1) The student residence permit is granted to foreigners who will receive education in a higher education institution in Turkiye, in Turkish institutes or universities at the bachelor, master or doctoral levels.
Article 38 (2) A student residence permit may be granted and extended to foreigners who are to receive education at the basic or intermediate level, and whose care and expenses are adopted by real or legal persons. With the consent of their parents or their legal representative, this may be granted for the duration of their education and for a period of time equivalent to one year at a time.
Article 38 (4) The period of residence permit for a student whose period of education is less than one year cannot exceed this period of education.
How long is a student’s residency valid?

According to Article – 38 (3), the student’s residence permit does not give the right to the student’s mother or father and other relatives to obtain a residence permit whatsoever.
