Harran University Overview

Harran University was officially established in 1992, though its roots go back to 1978 when it began as a higher industrial education institution. Initially affiliated with the Faculty of Agriculture under Dicle University in Diyarbakır, it became an independent university by Parliamentary Law No. 3837. On July 29, 2007, Law No. 26597 facilitated the expansion of the university, growing from just 3 faculties to 12 and establishing 15 research centers. Located in Şanlıurfa, Harran University features a large, green campus equipped with student-friendly facilities such as restaurants, cafes, a sports hall, a free swimming pool, numerous conference halls, and on-campus dormitories that provide students with a comfortable and supportive study environment.
